YUM-O!!!

A week ago, we went for our food tasting at Black Gold Country Club in order to get checked off our list. Ed and I chose 4 different entrees to try but we were very interested with their duet plates in order to give all of our guests a taste of everything. We started off with 2 different salads -- (1) a spinach salad with bits of bacon and dressed with bacon creamed dressing and (2) a mixed greens with poached pear and candied walnuts salad dressed with raspberry vinaigrette which was an a=obvious choice for us. I really liked the tartness from the raspberry vinaigrette since it offers a different flavor for the rest of the food that they are about to have. Then came all of our entrees --

(1)Beef Tenderloin Tips in a mushroom and red wine sauce with roasted potatoes and broccoli.

(2) Duet plate of Halibut paired with Chicken Rosemary with baby green beans and carrots.

(3) Duet plate of New York Steak and Chicken Marsala with broccoli.

(4) 10 oz. New York Steak in a bordelaise sauce with garlic mashed potatoes and baby greens and carrots.

There was a sure winner when it came with all of the choices so our guests will definitely be FULL and happy with the food that we will be serving. Ed and I chose #3 (Duet plate of New York Steak and Chicken Marsala with garlic mashed potatoes and baby green beans and carrots.) YUM-O!!!!!
