Since our wedding is fast approaching, Ed and I decided to host a bridal party barbecue for all of our bridesmaids and groomsmen along with their families. The bridal arty barbecue was this Saturday, August 4th which was also our 103rd monthly anniversary so it was a nice celebration for all of us.
We had tons of Filipino food, margaritas, desserts (even our new Chocolate Fountain made an appearance) and also some Porto's cheese rolls - MY FAVE!!! We used some sunflowers and candles as part of our table centerpieces and my sister/MOH created our lovely favors. Our favors were very simple but seemed very popular with our guests. The boxes and ribbons were from our local Michael's store and we filled them with chocolate chip cookies, white macadamia cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies from Costco. Wish we could've have made the cookies but we were just running out of time so we decided to buy them and stuff the boxes. My sister created our tags with one of the monograms that she was playing around with. Everyone loved them!!!!
Since this is also the first time getting all of our bridesmaids and groomsmen, we decided to play a Guess Who? game with our bridal party. Ed and I didn't have a preference as to which bridesmaid will be partnered with a specific groomsmen so we decided to play the game and do a random drawing. First, Ed (my groom) thought of 5-6 fun facts about each gm and each bridesmaid got to choose an envelope filled with some fun facts about their gm. The object of the game is for the bms to get to know our gms so the bms asked 3 Yes or No questions to any of the 5 gms and had to find out which gm matches their pick. The winning bm won a basket with a baking cookbook (I loved to bake so naturally I had to get that one!), measuring cups, set of Martha Stewart dish towels and a herb scented candle from Michael's while the winning gm won 2 movie tickets bundled with 3 popcorn bags and a bag of licorice to complete their movie experience. :)
All in all, the bridal party barbecue was a huge success and we thank everyone for going... Oh yeah, also conceptualized a bridal party newsletter that we passed around so everyone got a copy with some information about the wedding. Enjoy the pictures!!!
Here's how our bridal party paired up...
